eThekwini to spend R140m on water infrastructure

The eThekwini municipality is set to advertise a R140-million tender for the construction of infrastructure to support strained water supply to the north of Durban.

Building industry still under pressure

THE civil construction industry recovered somewhat in the fourth quarter of last year, but is still struggling, according to the latest FNB-BER civil construction confidence index released yesterday.

The index increased from 21 in the third quarter of last year to 26 in the final quarter.
